Kedarnath Temple

From the most important four sites in India's Char Dham Pilgrimage Kedarnath Temple is one of them, which is located in Garhwal Hills tracks in Chamoli district along the banks of Mandakini, Uttarakhand. It is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Best time of philosophy in Between the end of April (Akshaya Tritriya) to November (Kartik Purnima). A large statue of Nandi Bull is stand outside the temple. Lord Shiva manifested in the form of jyotirlingam and is the highest jyotirlinga among the 12 jyotirlingas. The temple is located at Rudra Himalayan range.

Badrinath temple was suppressed  for 400 years in the ice. Neverthless it was safe.On the walls of temple there are marks of ice. The temple was build by the kind of Malva named Bhoj. The temple is 85 ft in height, 80 ft wide and 187 ft tall.  Pandavas overtook the temple by killing their relatives to absolve there offence. In great epic Mahabharata this temple can be found. the inner walls of this temple are attractive with various images of Lords and scenes from mythology. Kedarnath Temple is build of heavy, large cut grey stones which is considered to be more than 1000 years old. There is a temple named Bhairavnathji temple. It is believed  that Bhairavnathji protects this land from evil during the time when temple of Kedarnath is closed.

Through Rail : Pilgrim can also go by rail. Nearest railhead is at Rishikesh.

Through Air : Pilgrim can also travel by airplane and the nearest airport is Jolly Grant.
