In the state of Kerala, India there is a popular city for visit is known as Kochi. It is situted in the district of Ernakulam. Kochi is the financial capital of the Kerala. Kochi is the second largest city in the Kerala. Kochi is also known as Cochin. It is the one of the tourist destination. Kochi is the best place for outing and for spend there time for enjoyment. It is the best place to see the  Kathakali and kalarippayattu. Kochi is also known as Queen of the Arabian Sea. History

 

More than 600 years ago Kochi was start trading with the Arabs, Dutch, Phoenicians, Portuguese, and Chinese. It was the center of trading. It helped Kochi to became a gateway to India and grow with fast speed. Kochi was formed in 1 April 1958.  Followed by the Dutch and English, Portugal was the first to established in Kochi.  To compelled the Dutch to hand over Kochi to the British in exchange for Bangka Island in Indonesia, in the Anglo-Dutch treaty of 1814. To established their influence British managed the things over Kochi.  By the Kochi Maharajas the rest of Kochi kingdom was administrated. When the Sir Robert Bristow needs to modern large port after the opening of Suez Canal the foundation of  modern Kochi city was started. Since in the 1957 Kochi was the commercial capital of the Kerala. Since in the year of 2000 Kochi has focus on tourism and  Information Technology.
