In the State of Maharashtra, India there is a town known as ShirdiShirdi is located in the Ahmednagar. It  is located about 270 kms from Mumbai. Shirdi is best known as the home of the Sai Baba.  It is one of the richest temple organisations. Shirdi is called the land of Sai Baba. Sai Baba was born in the year September 28, 1835 in the Pathri. In the 18th Centuary a young bearded man with sparkling eyes took shelter in a mosque in this place. Nobody knew from where this stranger had come.

After sometimes people gave food to Sai Baba but Sai never asked anything from anybody and sometimes Baba shared his food with animals. In the Sai Baba has the special power to solve the problem of poor and needy people. Baba helped every people. Then after sometime baba was called by the name Shirdi Sai Baba. Sai Baba lived in a mosque but always referred to it as "Dwarkamay". To the Moslems Baba was a fakir living in a mosque observing the disciplines of Islam, uttering "Allah Malik"  guiding Muslim seekers along the lines their own religion. Baba says only two words. These words are: Sharadha or Saburi. Sai baba was died in October 15, 1918. Baba assured his devotees by his saying:

"I am at Shirdi and everywhere. Whatever you do, wherever you may be, ever bear this in mind, that I am always aware of everything".

Thursday is the day Saibaba is specially worshipped. On this day devotees from all over India visit Shirdi for Darshan of Saibaba.
