This park was established in the year of 1979. The park remains closed during monsoon.

Flora and Fauna

Flora : There are different species of flora’s found in this national park. Teak, sadad, khakhro, kadad, humb, timru, kalam, bamboo, dudhkod, mahudo, behda, umaro, kusum, tanach, asan, shimlo, ambla, sisam, chopadi bondaro etc. are found in this national park. There are 443 species of plants, 199 species of herbs and 25 species of grass, 110 species of trees, 43 species of shrubs, 63 species of climbers in this park.

Fauna : There are different kinds of fauna’s found in this national park. Leopard, rhesus macaque, common palm civet, Hanuman langur, small Indian civet, four-horned antelope, wild boar, Indian porcupine, barking deer, hyena, jungle cat, Indian porcupine, flying squirrel, python, pangolin, rusty spotted cat, great Indian squirrel, Russell’s viper, cobras, kraits, yellow backed sunbird, Malabar trogon, jungle babbler, forest spotted owlet, shama, great Indian black woodpecker etc are found in this national park. There are 155 species of birds, 121 species of spiders in this park.
